When the snow arrives, the valley becomes peaceful – and at the same time wonderfully full of life. The ski areas Speikboden and Klausberg are both quickly reached and offer excellent conditions for families and active days in the snow. And beyond the slopes, there are plenty of other winter experiences too – whether relaxed or sporty.
Step outside in the morning, put on your ski boots and just a few minutes later you are already at the lift. Speikboden is quickly reached – and at the end of the day, the valley run almost brings you right back to Maurlechnhof. With Klausberg, there is a second ski area only a few minutes away. Together, the two resorts offer more than 70 kilometres of slopes – varied, manageable and ideal for families.
That way, every ski day stays easy and uncomplicated – from the first run of the morning right through to coming home again.
In Valle Aurina, you will find several beautifully maintained cross-country trails – peaceful, scenic and surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Our tip: the trails in Riobianco, Riva and Casere are especially beautiful – all easy to reach and varying in length and difficulty. Whether classic style or skating, this is winter at your own pace.
Whether you prefer taking the lift or hiking up on foot: Valle Aurina offers several varied toboggan runs – from long descents into the valley to natural trails with cosy alpine huts along the way. Fun is guaranteed.
* In Italy, including South Tyrol, helmets are compulsory on toboggan runs for adults as well as children.
Alongside long days on the slopes, winter in Valle Aurina also has its quieter side – simply being outdoors, moving at your own pace and enjoying the landscape.
