Three-thousanders, wherever you look

The Ahrn valley extends along the southern slopes of the Zillertal Alps. Where once the copper mining brought the region to flourish, it is today the unique proximity to an imposing, deeply impressive mountains to make the same effect. It is the main reason why many holidaymakers visit every year our idyllic valley and like to come back. Because if you spend your holidays in Ahrn valley, you are surrounded by around 80 three-thousanders. The outstanding with 3,499 m peak is the Dreiherren peak.

The Ahrn valley is part of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, where you can spend many wonderful holidays and can always discover new things, like the Reinsbach waterfalls in Sand in Taufers and other natural wonders. The symbols of the large mining past of this area are the Mining Museum in a Grain Store at Steinhaus or the Climate gallery in Prettau whose pleasant atmosphere is worth to be experienced at least once.
